Hi, my name is Greeneyes, and I am a Chocoholic.......

It has been about a week or more that I have given up sweets,*Big sigh* It has been a hard unsweet journey and at times rather frustrating, not just chocolate but cookies ,pies ,etc, well I fell of the wagon ( hangs head , not in shame but looking for more chocolate in stash drawer:) I don't think I will try to give it up COLDTURKEY (ha ha) again ,I never gave up . My theory is this , I am what I am ! a sweet freak! I guess that would make me sweet LOL . It seemed the whole time I try to resist, it was more tempting , while if I just had it when I wanted, it didn't sneak up on me and make me have cravings from HELL . I use to smoke many moons ago and for some time and I found it easier to quit than this , go figure! Well I conquered it for awhile and know I can live without it and by the way Claudia if you are reading this there is not a turtle left standing (ha ha) ,they were the first casualties of my attack :) but not my last , I am headed for Meows cadbury dairymilk/caramello's yummmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeee . Enjoy life , it goes by so quick.have a great day/night
sweetdreams .

I'm so proud of you. {lol}

Want to go for a jog?

One time, (actually it was many times) I ate 36 (actually it was more like 96) chocolate balls from See's :)

Well done for avoiding the chocolate for so long. I've got no hope, nor any desire, to do so !! And that Cadbury chocolate ... I'll have to go buy some more so I can share it with you, as I ate it all !!!
Take care, Meow

I've got to cut out sweets as well.
I don't think it is possible to cut down, at least I don't think I can.

Hey there Geg, have you ever tried a lamington. It's a square of spongecake, dipped in chocolate icing so it is completely covered, then dipped in coconut.
Hmmnn.....one Christmas a very long time ago, my Nanna made my brother and I some home made lamingtons. Well, I ate mine up straight away. My brother kept his in a secret stash.
......Well.....it wasn't secret enough!
I was little, and I'm sticking to that excuse. Hmmnnn....sigh.

Hi Greeneyes,
I love this post because I too,
LOVE sweets. It is really hard to change the sweet tooth fix habits when we feel an attack coming on!
So easy just to shovel the sugar down then, yup, hang our heads low after doing so.
I am trying to keep the sweets at bay, enjoying in moderation now.
I gobble whole kiwis and oranges now when I feel that whole that needs to be filled.
ITs tough, but our bodies just cannot take the sugar especially as we get older.I quit smoking to be healthy now I need to keep the sweets at a safe distance.
Its always "something" isn't it?
Try new ways to cure your cravings so when you do actually have a real treat, you won't feel that head hanging low!!!
Thanks for sharing~
ps.Did you know that real dark chocolate is actually good for you!?!!

This is a recipe for the dessert sex in the pan if anyone would like to make it , it is as good as the name says :)

SEX IN THE PAN
crust
5/8 cup butter, softened
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
mix and bake as below states
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

To Make Crust: Cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs;mix in pecans pat mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch(ungreased) baking dish.
this crust is a shortbread type do not mix too much!

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 minutes; let cool.

next layer
mix together until smooth
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese(block kind not spreadable, and not light , who are we kidding !)
place on top of bottom COOLED crust.

next layer
1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed not light type ,(seperates and gets yucky)spread onto last layer .

next layer
mix 2 (3.9 ounce) packages instant pudding mix (1 chocolate,1 vanilla)
with only half of required milk for both, add all together(yes all together) and mix as instructions on box for regular pudding .sread onto last layer ,carefull but not too fussy.

next layer
now spread on
1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed
chocolate shaving on top

chocolate shavings , any all chocolate bar can do ,or whatever you want, I use a carrott peeler to shave it into nice pieces. always refridgerate and cover , it has to set for about an hour .longer is better but that doesnt happen here alot ! he he

I always double recipe , large extended family ,and never any left . if you like this kind of dessert it is goooooooooooood , you can get variations on web also ,

eat enjoy and LOOSE weight he he

Keep up the good work. I can't help myself with sweets. I just love sugar so much! I was about three when my parents finally managed to pull that sugared water bottle out of my mouth.
