FOR YOU COOKIE-BAKERS. Even if you don't bake, you have to see this a friend of mine sent via email she bakes all the time and really liked this link up-it is really neat and helpful!
This little guy is what I would look like up against the case of cookies above :-)

This is remarkable! Even if you have no particular interest, please pass on to the bakers in your life. They'll appreciate it.
Just click on the name of the cookie and bam the recipe is there. Good to keep handy

It is getting close to that time of year again , HALLOWEEN !!!!!! in a couple of weeks ghost and goblins , mermaids and mummys ,witches and vampires will be begging at your door for candy (WINK*) I know not all places in the world share in this tradition but it can be fun and I usually have a fright night consisting of scary movies lots of treats (I buy ,not go door to door for ,LOL) and a cuddle up with family or friends . One of my staple movies that I really enjoy is called Hocus Pocus ,it is great for the whole family and a slightly scary comedy , just the idea behind it and the story is played out so well I really love it and anyone out there can enjoy it if they like these type of films . It was first aimed at children ,but more adults seem to like it along with the kiddies but I wouldn't show it to smaller than 7 or so as it has some scary makeup and a few jump out at you scenes and the word Virgin is joked about a little so if not wanting to be asked what that is skip the younGn's LOL,,,,,,,,,,,,,.

Me Being a kid at heart ,I enjoy this over and over . Try it , you may like it and if not someone you watch it with should .

It stars Three SANDERSON SISTER witches PLAYED BY :
Bette Midler AS Winifred 'Winnie' Sanderson

Sarah Jessica Parker AS Sarah Sanderson

Kathy Najimy AS Mary Sanderson

I have always been very softhearted , sometimes so much that I feel sad when things beyond my control happen ,an example of that is when you make blogging friends and they seem to fade away , I know this is through a computer and the screen is not a replacement for the real thing (meeting in person) but I still (I believe) have made some friendships that are going to last ,people I have a real connection with and are very fond of and enjoy . I have lost contact with some over the last couple years which is only natural , sometimes sad , once you get to know someone it is nice to have that connection . C'est la vive (That's LIFE) I guess . ,I know life ebbs and flows . You may think I wear my heart on my sleeve ,but that is just ME!

Below is a favorite email of mine and it fits this post and is so true , hope you read it , HUGS !

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die.... Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant. Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you are a reason, a season or a lifetime.

chit chat

I am sitting here eating a piece of heavenly pecan pie, one of the many desserts for tomorrows Thanksgiving Dinner. I know, I know I shouldn't but it called my name so sweetly , and is one of my all time favourites and I will be so busy tomorrow I may not get a chance to relax with a piece! MMMMMmmmmm GOOD!I took this pic of one of my angels that is mounted on one corner of the patio ,one of three ,they are out there all four seasons doing a wonderful job :0)

I love the holidays , the cooler season and colours of the trees and family ,some very colourful as well(Come on we all have those particular family members that stand out ) if you don't recognize anyone like that then it is you! HAHAHAHAHAHA ! Even with all the hustling and cooking and cleaning and trying to please everyone and we cannot forget the odd bicker back and fourth or jokingly fighting over turkey parts LOL it is still a wonderful feeling .

One of my "Girls" is staying here tonight ,always a warm fuzzy safe feeling to have her under the same roof , I have been dog sitting for her off and on ,and she is coming over "just because" , I savour that feeling .

Her little doggie is a Chuwaua (SPELL?!#*^@#),not one of those yappy little ones ,she is so cute and smaller than our cat which makes it known very often ,the cat is not impressed at all . This little Doggie which I have nick named Livvy is so tiny but can eat more than JD (seen below)standing next to the recycle bottle bin waiting to get in for a snack I suppose :).I never seen anything like it ever, she has no fear of JD who is about 20 times her size, all Jd cares about is she doesn't steal his bone or toys and he is happy .

These pics were taken last week , we had a little Indian Summer ,I took this pic of my clock I have on our patio ,it is out of the wind and gets very hot here as you can tell from the temp gauge ., it was wonderful day to clear the Patio for the winter and take a last look at my flowers and put them to bed for the winter .
I never promised you a rose garden LOL. The roses seen here below for their last ho rah of the year is in a bed surrounded by rocks/boulders ,they have grown so much they are pushing the bed apart, they now run about 20 feet long and 6 0r so feet thick around 12 feet high and smell divine , the strongest rose scent ever , they are fragile flowers but plentiful and grow wild ,I have no idea what variety they are , any Guesses??.

This Monday October 8Th is our Thanksgiving , time certainly is on fast forward ,I feel like I fell into the worm hole in space Steven Hawkins talks about http://www.pbs.org/wnet/hawking/html/home.html it is like time warped and I am trying to catch up !
I have been tremendously busy and a naughty blogger , gee, that sounds better than it actually means LOL ! I have not answered many comments as I usually do and it is one of my all time fav things to receive comments ,just like a kid on Christmas , poking my head into the box , peeking to see whats there ! Yes I know , I am easily amused ,but I have come to believe that as a good thing .

As I sit and hunt and peck (TYPE) my HUGE Turkey is Thawing , yes it will take that long ,I love making a big Turkey so there are leftovers (= 1 less day cooking LOL), we also bake a big ham and all the fixings , every type of veggie you can imagine ,salt riblets, I even made homemade beets , corn relish and chow(Mix of veggies done in sauce like pickles/mustardy) all in mason jars in a hot water bath up to about 1 hour ago ,I can hear the lids pop as they seal on the counter .I do preserves for The holidays , I usually let them sit for a few weeks but they are good to go as soon as sealed .My fingers are so pruney from all the sterilizing and cleaning and hot bottles etc and the clean up , OY!!!!!HAHA

I have been thinking about the things that I am thankful for , as they are always close in my mind, but this time of the year I give them an extra time in my heart and try to feel the appreciation a little more . I have so many blessings in my life ,to try to list them would bring me to next years THANKSGIVING ! I am grateful for every blessing and that has set the tone of my life ,I realize life can change in a blink of an eye so I value it as I have it and then some .

One thing I would like to say here though that I am thankful for is all my Blogging friends that I have meet in the past few years , "YE" all mean a great deal to me and I am very Blessed to have met "YE " all , and when I sit at my table , bountiful and Blissful as it hopefully will be ,I will share my thoughts of appreciation and gratefulness ,my thoughts will be shared with all my Blogger friends as for them I am THANKFUL.

Dance like no one is watching in life , enjoy what you have while you have it , share with those who have less than you , May you be light hearted enough to know that you should be thank full and in your heart may Gratitude always find a home .

(Caution : above advice may cause happiness in ones heart LOL)
